CDC Features HHT in Popular Webinar Series

One of the biggest challenges facing HHT patients continues to be the lack of HHT knowledge amongst healthcare providers not affiliated with an HHT Center of Excellence. We understand how frustrating this can be. That’s why we continue to make physician education a priority. For years, Cure HHT has attempted to get on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (“CDC”) radar, and our efforts have culminated in an incredible opportunity to connect with the 50,000 healthcare providers in the CDC database! HHT will be the featured topic this month on the CDC’s popular Public Health Webinar Series on Blood Disorders. Drs. Kasthuri and Al-Samkari, two of our leading hematologists, have been invited to lead the webinar and teach other health care providers how to recognize, diagnosis and treat HHT.

Though HHT is actually a bleeding disorder, the CDC organizes various conditions and diseases related to blood and bleeding into one broad category. We are thrilled to move one step closer to narrowing the time between symptoms and diagnosis for the HHT community.
