The lack of available blood samples and tissues has been identified as a major gap in the field. To help close this gap, we opened the first centralized biobank for HHT-affected tissues last year — and it’s located right in Boston! The donation would involve about the same amount of blood you’d give during a routine draw at the doctor’s office. How Will Samples Be Used: Blood samples will be split between three research teams that need them immediately, and anything remaining will be stored in the Cure HHT Biobank for future use. All samples are de-identified and labeled with an anonymous ID number.
