RougeTx Launches with HHT as Lead Therapeutic Program
RougeTx, a new biotechnology company focused on vascular disease, has launched with $58 million in Series A financing to advance RTX-001, an investigational treatment being developed for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT).
RTX-001 is a potential once-daily oral therapy designed to stabilize fragile blood vessels by targeting pericyte dysfunction. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, with the new financing intended to support its advancement toward first-in-human clinical development.
For Cure HHT, the announcement represents another encouraging sign of the growing scientific and commercial investment in HHT—and another distinct therapeutic approach entering an increasingly active research pipeline.
“For decades, HHT has been an under-recognized and under-invested disease. To see new science, new companies, and significant investment being directed specifically toward HHT is incredibly encouraging,” said Marianne Clancy, MPA, CEO of Cure HHT. “There is still a long road between promising preclinical research and an approved treatment, but every new approach strengthens the field and brings more attention, expertise, and possibility to our community.”
Cure HHT looks forward to following the development of RTX-001 as the program progresses toward clinical research.
