Noreen Curtis

Noreen Curtis
Noreen and I met during our freshman year of college, roomed together our sophomore year, and remained friends thereafter. I clearly remember returning to our room after classes to find her sitting cross-legged on the bed, a book propped up on a pillow in front of her, with tissues held to her nose to stop another nosebleed. If memory serves me correctly, it would be many more years before she and her family would discover their cause. She was a very special person who fought her battle with HHT with courage and perseverance. She only surrendered when it became clear that medical treatment could no longer help her. I was blessed to have her in my life, and only wish we'd lived closer to be able to visit more often. She will live on in my heart and through precious memories of times we shared. My deepest condolences to all her friends and family.

When HHT touches someone close to you, it's natural to want to share their story with others.

HHT is a relentless disease that affects over one million people around the world. Many of those people are robbed of the opportunities that would allow them to lead a full and normal life. Cure HHT is the only organization in the world dedicated solely to research, education, and advocacy that will allow us to find a cure for this disease. You can make a tremendous impact on our mission and honor a loved one by creating a Memorial or Tribute.

Whether your family has managed HHT for generations or you are the first to be diagnosed, everyone has a story to tell. One of the dynamics that keeps our small community so strong is the constant opportunity HHT families have to relate to one another.
